Concealed Carry and Personal Defense

Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST
SEIS Vineyard Community Center - Tempe, AZ

This comprehensive course is designed to empower LGBTQ+ individuals and allies with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to protect themselves and their loved ones responsibly. Set in a supportive, judgment-free learning environment, inclusive of trans and nonbinary folks, this Arizona-specific class covers firearm safety, conflict avoidance, legal use of force, situational awareness, and the fundamentals of developing a home defense plan. You'll also receive the training required for Arizona’s Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW).

The course is divided into two training environments: a 6-hour classroom session and a 2-hour live-fire range session. For safety, personal firearms and ammunition are not permitted in the classroom under any circumstances. Students may bring their own firearm for the range session only, and loaner firearms will be provided for sharing to students to who do not have their own.

Whether you’re new to firearms, looking to build a safer home environment, or just needing a concealed carry permit, this course centers self-protection as an act of self-respect — taught with dignity and community in mind.

This class is a judgment-free, inclusive space where everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and affirmed. Discriminatory, defamatory, or harassing language or behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. Any student who violates this policy will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. We’re here to build skills and confidence together — with respect for all identities and lived experiences.
